George Gibbs was a hand shoemaker in Evesham in the 1890s. In 1908, his son George William, moved to Spalding and purchased Miss Jones Shoe Emporium at 22 Hall Place, where Gibbs of Spalding still trades today. The ethos of the business remains unchanged with dedication to great customer care for all. Gibbs prides itself on being a sit and fit children’s fitting specialist with staff trained to a high standard. Gibbs continues to stock an extensive product range of branded footwear in a variety of widths and half sizes.
Today George Gibbs' great, great, granddaughter Kathryn Robb embraces the idea of comfortable, stylish footwear as an important part of an active healthy life and our brands aim to fulfil this function. As an additional service for our customer’s feet, we have opened a foot clinic in store to support this ideal.
